Dr. Lazzara grew up in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Her passion for dermatology began at a young age, with a strong interest in autoimmune cutaneous conditions, as well as skin cancer detection and treatment. Dr. Lazzara’s extensive training included obtaining her medical degree from Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine. The osteopathic medical training Dr. Lazzara gained provided exposure to patient-focused care with an emphasis on the connectivity between mind, body, and soul. Dr. Lazzara then completed a rigorous Transitional internship year at Christ Hospital CarePoint Health in Jersey City, NJ. Dr. Lazzara’s dermatologic prowess aided in the diagnosis of numerous patients suffering from severe cutaneous conditions throughout her early medical training.
Dr. Lazzara moved from her home state of New Jersey to Southeast Florida to complete her dermatology residency program at Larkin Community Hospital Palm Springs campus where she served as chief resident during her training. Dr. Lazzara continued to advance her career by obtaining acceptance into highly competitive advanced fellowship training programs in both Micrographic Surgery & Dermatologic Oncology in addition to a procedural Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship through the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), respectively.
Training in Southeast Florida provided Dr. Lazzara with countless exposure to identifying and treating high risk skin cancers, performing complex surgical cases, and caring for a diverse patient population with rare medical dermatologic conditions. Additionally, Dr. Lazzara’s dermatology and fellowship training programs provided her education and mentorship from some of the most leading and innovative dermatologists in the field. These experiences have all cultivated Dr. Lazzara as a highly esteemed dermatologist providing quality care to the Milton and surrounding North Georgia communities.
Although Florida offered an excellent training environment for the study of dermatology, Dr. Lazzara fell in love with the tranquility and natural beauty of North Georgia and decided to make it home. Dr. Lazzara resides in the city of Milton with her husband, Nick, a board-certified emergency medicine physician, their beloved son, Luca, and their fur children, Ralphy and Rufus. They have truly enjoyed living in Milton and are excited to offer the first dermatology practice in their hometown. Dr. Lazzara plans to attend local community and charitable events to help spread awareness of skin health and safe skin practices.
Beyond her practice, Dr. Lazzara enjoys hiking, gardening, and exploring art through painting and music. She brings this creativity into her work, blending science and artistry in her surgical reconstructions and patient care. Dr. Lazzara’s vision is to provide care that is not only effective but also transformative, leaving every patient feeling healthier and more confident.

Madison
Medical Assistant
Madison is a medical assistant at Lazzara Dermatology & Mohs Surgery of Milton. She graduated with honors from Mercer University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering.
Since 2023, Madison has worked alongside Dr. Danielle Lazzara in Mohs micrographic surgery. Her role involves providing dedicated patient care and supporting precise surgical procedures.
Madison plans to attend medical school and aspires to serve as a physician in Georgia, combining her technical expertise with her passion for patient care.
Outside the office, Madison enjoys weightlifting and traveling with her husband.
Taylor
Medical Assistant
Taylor graduated from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC with a major in Integrative Physiology and Neurobiology and a minor in Psychology with the intent to continue her education in PA school.
Upon graduation, she started earning her patient care hours for PA school by working as a medical assistant in urgent care before taking a job as a dermatology medical assistant.
She loves working with Dr. Lazzara and the team as they create a supportive environment filled with opportunities for growth and learning, but also show the same support, compassion, and continued care to every patient that steps into the office whether they are seen for skin cancer treatment, rashes, or other skin conditions.
In her free time, you can find her traveling, reading, cooking, and spending time with her horses!
